The SideShot® models SS1
and SS2 SideWall Vent Systems include the UC1
Universal Control for increased safety, performance and reliability. Designed for oil fired heating equipment or a deluxe gas vent system.
Patented vent termination propels flue gases at high velocities away from
the building exterior, a necessity when venting oil fired equipment. Both models can be installed with zero clearance to combustible materials
and have stainless steel construction in critical areas.
Factory wired safety and
operating controls allow simple interlock with any burner. The new model SS2
features a self-cleaning stainless steel, backward inclined impeller and sealed
ball bearing motor for virtually maintenance free installations. Ultra-fine
draft adjustment and slide-out access to all internal components. Easy multiple
appliance interlocks with our MAC Series
multiple appliance controls. |

SS1 APPLICATION TABLES
| Verify that the total BTU/hr
input of the heating appliance(s) fall within the proper category listed
below. Please note the capacity differs between the SS1, SS1C and
SS2. To determine equivalent feet, add the total length of straight
vent pipe plus 10 feet for each 90 degree elbow and 5 feet for each 45
degree elbow. Vent runs over 15 linear feet should use an approved,
insulated vent connector to prevent problems related to condensation.
Multiple appliance interlocks require the use of our MAC-Series
Multiple Appliance Controls.
The SS1 & SS1C feature
a bottom or rear vent connection. The inlet collar accepts any brand
or type of 6" diameter vent pipe. |

The SideShot® Series is recommended for oil applications.
We recommend the use of our
HS-Series venters for oil burner inputs larger
than the SideShot® Vent System capacities. For Sidewall venting residential/light commercial natural gas, LP or oil
fired equipment including: Furnaces, boilers, water heaters and unit
heaters. All models feature the new UC1
Universal Control and a diaphragm Fan Proving Switch safety interlock
which will shut down heating equipment if a venting malfunction occurs. Built-in
adjustable damper also allows regulation for maximum
combustion efficiency. UC1 Universal Control
features include; adjustable pre and post-purge
settings, LED Status/diagnostic indicators, Fan Prover switch
monitoring. Interlocks with any 24-120 VAC burner control circuit
and also includes "dry" contact actuation option. Easily interlock
multiple appliances with our MAC-Series
multiple appliance controls.
